Old English hælan "cure; save; make whole, sound, and well"
A pure, unadulterated word
“If a whole shatters, it becomes a hollow. With its light no longer intact, it leaks a trail. Within that trail, which is essentially the light of source, life manifests: the birth, the body, the experience of a life. The purpose of that manifest experience is to patch up the hole, to heal the shattered spot, to mend, so that the hollow may become whole once again.”
